In March this year, we officially launched 2024 Cultural Residency program and announced the new resident, Jessika Spencer. ​

A Wiradjuri woman, Jessika was raised along the Murrumbidgee River by her grandmother. Waterways continue to hold a special importance for Jessica and inspire her art and weaving practice. As part of the residency, Jessika is working on a large woven piece depicting the three Wiradjuri rivers. She is also helping IWF researchers and students learn basic cultural weaving techniques. ​
