The Water Futures Cultural Residency explores and elevates Indigenous perspectives on waterways and Country.

Established in 2022 to support Indigenous artists, the residency now welcomes First Nations individuals working across a wide range of mediums, disciplines, and interests. The program offers time, space, and resources to pursue a water-related project, and invites residents to share their insights with the IWF community to foster deeper recognition and understanding of Indigenous knowledge.

The residency supports IWF’s mission to celebrate and explore the ancient and contemporary expertise of First Nations Peoples in managing and protecting Australia’s waterways.
