Sunail is a PhD canditate at the Fenner School of Environment & Society and the Institute for Water Futures focusing on water economics and smart technology implementation in agriculture, irrigation, and water resource management. An executive in the transport sector with a unique interest in farming, he has developed a Farm Modernisation Index to benchmark NSW farms and is deeply invested in integrating the agriculture and irrigation sectors into Industry 4.0 and 5.0. Having witnessed the evolution of transport systems firsthand after migrating from Pakistan to Australia, Sunail has had the privilege of contributing to pioneering developments in both public and private sectors.
Sunail holds a Master of Public Policy and Environmental Law from the Australian National University (ANU) and is a Fellow Chartered Engineer with Engineers Australia, as well as an accomplished Project Director registered with the Australian Institute of Project Management. Passionate about technology as a helping hand for people rather than a threat to their livelihood, he promotes innovation and the translation of knowledge from one industry to another.
